Monte Cristo
A seasoned contractor with years of experience working in both residential and commercial construction. As someone who spent a considerable amount of time on framing projects, Monte quickly realized that one of the most consistent pain points in the industry was the challenge of leveling walls. Despite the wide range of tools available to framers—levels, braces, shims, clamps—there was no single tool that allowed a crew to easily and accurately level a wall without significant effort or a second set of hands.
“Every time I framed a wall, I could count on it taking twice as long as it should because I was constantly adjusting, rechecking, and making sure the wall stayed in place while we nailed it in,” says Cristo. “I was always wondering, why hasn’t someone come up with a better way to do this? Something simpler, faster, and more efficient.”
That frustration was the spark that eventually led to the invention of the Sterling Wall Leveler. As Cristo continued to work on job sites, he started to think about how he could design a tool that would make this process easier, not just for him, but for every framer and contractor who shared the same pain point.
